A last-minute decision for a rainy day Friday lunch with a coworker led us to 12 Chairs, a lovely Israeli cafe in New York Cityβs SoHo neighborhood.
We were seated quickly, despite the restaurant being abuzz with people, and our waiter took our order within minutes, delivering our food to us within minutes.
The feta cheese was additional ($3), and totally worth it, adding a nice salty flavor to cut the richness of the eggs.
Needs anything else? Came with a fresh Israeli side salad and rustic slices of bread. The freshness and light lemon dressing of the salad offset the shakshuka.
Is it considered shakshuka? π
