Came to Lamalo for Saturday brunch. Located inside a hotel lobby, we were the only ones here for a while, and felt both very fancy and a little awkward.
The brunch menu is prix fixe, with the only selection is whether you want a red or green shakshuka, or a sabich sandwich. We chose the red shakshuka and sabich to share, to try both.
Food came swiftly, was definitely poached eggs in a red sauce. Very tasty, not spicy, and as p[art of a full brunch worked out okay. But not shakshuka by my definition.
Needs anything else? Cost is higher, as it was part of a prix fixe brunch, which was very filling! We were stuffed.
Is it considered shakshuka? 👎
